This is an axle back exhaust system that includes the VT muffler by DynoMax.  This muffler is the only one in the world that features the Valve Technology that is exclusive to DynoMax.  This technology allows for a high flow and drone free performance.  This includes a sound tuning valve that is precisely calibrated to be inside the muffler itself.  This valve is able to achieve maximum performance simply by opening only within certain ranges of RPM.  When you accelerate, this internal valve will open in order to provide you with an exhaust flow that is enhanced while delivering a sound that is throaty and powerful.  As the pressure in the muffler decreases, it will start to close slowly thereby redirecting the flow of exhaust into a zone in the muffler that is quieter while eliminating any irritating sort of drone in the cab.

The valve spring itself is made from a super alloy that is resistant to both heat and corrosion and will last as long as your rig does.  The mufflers are constructed from stainless steel and are 100% welded.  These are straight through mufflers.  The pipes have been mandrel bent.

The catalytic converter works as a part of your Jeep’s exhaust system.  The exhaust gases that come from the engine have harmful components.  The function of the catalytic converter is to transform those harmful things into harmless ones before releasing them to the muffler and then out into the air.  The catalytic converter has catalysts inside it that change these harmful contaminants into ones that are harmless. 

If your catalytic converter becomes poisoned or clogged then you will need to replace it.  Additionally, the catalytic converter can fail due to faulty exhaust valves coming from the engine or from the converter being overheated due to bad plugs that cause the unburned fuel to heat.
