Dynomax Super Turbo

Those of you who have purchased Dynomax parts before know that their parts tend to be superior to others on the market.  But were you aware that Dynomax is actually only a very miniscule part of a larger company?  Yes, although Dynomax was formed in 1992, they are actually part of the Tenneco family of companies.  To put the size of Tenneco into perspective, keep in mind that you just read Dynomax is a miniscule part.  Dynomax sells their parts to over 500 wholesalers and retailers worldwide.  Their parts are also contracted by at least 25 OEMs.  If that is being a minuscule part, you can imagine the magnitude of Tenneco.  You can find Tenneco being traded on the New York Stock Exchange as TEN.

While Dynomax makes a ton of parts, today we will only be discussing the Dynomax Super Turbo.  What is that you might ask?  Well, that is exactly the question that I am here to answer today.

 

Dynomax Super Turbo

Dynomax has a claim to being the producer of the largest line of mufflers available on the market today.  The Dynomax Super Turbo is one of the mufflers in that line.  This muffler has an exclusive patented flow director design.  This enables it to channel the flow of the exhaust and even eliminate turbulence.  It features very large internal flow tubes that help to improve the exhaust flow even more while reducing back pressure.  These also use a fiberglass matting technology that absorbs that interior resonance that is not wanted.  The Dynomax Super Turbo has been Dyno proven to flow up to 700 SCFM. 

You can also get the Dynomax Super Turbo in varying configurations.  Some of the configurations available are the center – center configuration, side – center, and side – side.  There is also the Camaro configuration which has two pipes on one end and only one on the other.  There is the cross flow configuration which has 2 pipes close together on one side and only one on the other end.  There is the center/dual outlet design configuration, the dual inlet/outlet configuration and finally the inlet/outlet (same side configuration).

Dynomax Mufflers

You may have heard of Dynomax.  If not, maybe you have heard of their parent company: Tenneco.  Tenneco is a great conglomerate of companies who make too many auto parts to count.  They are traded on the New York Stock Exchange as TEN.  Although Dynomax does not sell their parts directly to the public, they do sell to over 500 retailers and wholesalers and you will be able to get their parts through those retailers and wholesalers.  Actually, on the Dynomax web site there is a link titled “Where to Buy”.  When you click on this link it gives you an option to find either an online dealer or a brick and mortar dealer located near you.  While you are on the Dynomax web site, you can view detailed pictures and descriptions of all of the parts they make.  You can also view and download installation instructions. 

Dynomax Mufflers

Dynomax claims that they have the widest selection of mufflers on the market today.  While I don’t know if that is exactly true, I can tell you that all of the mufflers made by Dynomax are designed and engineered to withstand the most rigorous testing that they can be put through.  That being said, they still do not undergo the best test in the world at Dynomax.  That test is done by the discerning buyers that put those Dynomax mufflers to the test every day in their vehicles. 

Although there is quite a large selection of Dynomax mufflers available to you, we will only gloss over the features of a few of them today.

Dynomax VT Muffler

This muffler has been designed using the exclusive Dynomax Valve Technology.  It has a drone free performance and features slotted bushing ends.  It is 100% welded and uses CRF (Continuous Roving Fiberglass) technology.  It is constructed of stainless steel.

Blackjack Headers

When you think of Dynomax, what do you think of?  Do you think of a company who manufactures and markets some of the best exhaust systems, products and accessories on the market today?  If not, why not?  Because they are.
